CSIRT Development Program 2024
Scaling up national cybersecurity early warning capabilities
Early warning is a proven way to help countless large and small organizations that face constant cyber threats. Many of these companies get breached every year and must deal with the aftermath. This stark reality highlights their urgent need for timely, informed awareness.
The scale of the problem makes conventional responses seem insufficient. Even the smallest countries have thousands of organizations facing cybersecurity risk, and the larger countries have hundreds of thousands.
As national and sectoral Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) work to notify companies about cyber issues, the task quickly becomes overwhelming due to the sheer scale of businesses and organizations in need. CSIRTs are forced to prioritize their efforts, leaving too many organizations vulnerable.
Cybersecurity is a collective challenge requiring a coordinated response. We need a bold approach: pooling resources, knowledge, and capabilities to create a global early warning infrastructure that scales up to the challenge.
Support for the members of FIRST Fellowship
At Arctic Security, we're committed to fostering stronger global cybersecurity, especially for those who are just setting their roots or are resource-constrained. The first two years of the CSIRT Development program were a success, and we have a lot of positive feedback from the 14 CSIRT teams who have joined the program.
We are continuing the program in 2024 and offering our commercial Arctic Hub software product, free of charge for a year, to CSIRTs recognized with fellowship status by FIRST between 2020 and 2024. This offer is valid from June 2024 through June 2025. If you're a FIRST Fellow CSIRT/CERT, you can access Arctic Hub for free during this period. *
* Note: Some of the current fellows are already using Arctic Hub; this offer only applies to those CSIRTs who aren’t already Arctic Security customers, and who haven't yet claimed their free year.
Support for all resource-constrained CSIRTs
We understand that newly established and resource-limited CSIRTs have to navigate tight budgets. As such, we're offering significant discounts to ensure that access to excellent tools doesn't take up a substantial portion of your financial plan.
If your CSIRT works with a modest resource pool, you can access Arctic Hub at a cost that matches your budgetary constraints. New to 2024, the CSIRT Development program also covers sectoral CSIRTs. Contact us, and we will devise a personalized plan for your CSIRT.
As an additional benefit for the national CSIRT teams with a commercial license to Arctic Hub, they can now nominate a few sectoral CSIRTs in their country to receive a complimentary one-year license to Arctic Hub. *
CSIRTs should be free to channel their resources toward enhancing their cybersecurity prowess rather than worrying about the intricacies of software development and maintenance. Our mission is to provide you with the means to operate more efficiently and deliver better services without the burden of extensive in-house software development.
* Note: This free Arctic Hub license is a one-time offer that only applies to sectoral CSIRTs who are not existing Arctic Security customers and haven't used their free year yet. A national CSIRT sponsor is required. The same CSIRT team cannot apply for a free license for multiple years.
Join the program
Arctic Security's mission is to improve global cybersecurity by supporting CSIRTs, particularly in regions where resources are limited. We help to deploy early warning systems to help CSIRTs stay ahead of cyber threats and protect their constituents. You can read more about the program's results in 2022 and 2023 in this article.
This strategy is embodied in Arctic Hub – an early warning platform developed by Arctic Security. More than a tool, Arctic Hub can be a cornerstone in our defense against cyber threats, enabling the creation of scalable national cybersecurity notification systems and automating routine data collection. The Arctic Hub platform makes this possible with its ease of use, simplicity, and affordability.
